LBJ Bolt size

I am starting to get all the stuff together I will need when I replace the front end parts. Just so I can go ahead and have the bolts on hand, can someone tell me the bolt size and thread pitch of the four bolts that hold the lower ball joint on? What grade bolt should I use?

I wouldn't get generic bolts for this, order the real Toyota or equivalent aftermarket parts manufacturer bolts.

I would actually get the right bolts from Toyota (in fact, I did!). $18 compared to maybe $8 at the hardware store.

Yes, just get Toyota ones. There is a thread on here with the part number for the bolt+washer. Just get 8 and you're golden.

There's evidently 2 different part numbers for these bolts. Some people go with the part number for the bolts with washers and some go with the flanged bolts. My '99 came standard with flanged bolts. I think they changed on the 01's or 02's maybe? Either way, both work.

+1 for OEM, and throw some Blue Loctite on them!

Just called the local dealer, got 8 of them ordered and one new tie rod boot. Pick them up Monday. The parts guy said I am the first person ever to order those that he remembers of, LOL. :noidea:
