I am sure this has been asked before but I was looking for the LC 8 wraps but isnt it that the LC 80 Series springs are side specific so one is going to be 7.5 and the other 8 ? Will this work or do you have to find 2 of the same side to have both 8 wraps?
It will work. one side has (MORE TENSION) due to the weight of the fuel tank on the LC. when you stand them side by side (atleast my 8 wraps) they are the same height. Our trucks dont weight as much so shouldnt be an issue.
My 7 wraps are the same height. After installation the rear is the same height from right to left. I'll measure again after I put in a full tank of gas but I don't think that is going to make much difference.
My 9.25 wraps looked exactly the same but I measured each with weight (I used a dumbell and added weight). I put the one that sat higher with weight on the drivers side.
LC shocks. Just order rear shocks for a 1997 LC and you will be set. The brand is your choice. I went with Monroe Gas-Matic because they were only 25 bucks each. THere are better options out there but I am on a pretty tight budget so that's what I went with.
Anyone running LC coils with stock LC rear shocks run extended bump stops for the rear?
If so, where did you get them? or did you just fab some type of spacer?
Sonoran steel sells some, but I'm thinking you could fab some from a piece of square tube. You only need about a 1" drop even though you are lifting 3+ inches with the LC coils.
