LCA bulletproofing

Hey guys , made the title interesting so everyone would jump in and have a say on the subject. Its been years since iv had my 4runner and i always end up wondering if theres a way to protect our front LCA's , we need to be changing our LBJ's and they seem to crap out the more often we ride offroad , so i went out on a search for a replacement LCA and found these :

by any chance anyone uses one of these? Am interested on acquiring a pair

Those are fairly new to hit the market. They still use the same LBJ, so I don’t see the price being worth the upgrade. eimkeith is making supports to beef up the factory arms- specifically at the LBJ adapter- and I would definitely beef up the factory arms before buying fully fabricated arms that are the exact same specs as the factory arms.
If they had the LBJ moved forward to compensate caster, I think they would make more sense.

Yeah; if there were at least a few upgrades along with the LCA the money would be more acceptable. But for right now a couple pieces of plate welded in the right areas would make most of the needed upgrades for way less money.

And I would still have the stock steering stops.

$1150 and that isn't even including the sway bar link mount? Good luck to them. That's what a bull bar costs. Show me the value.

The stock lowers are plenty strong. The only reason to upgrade LCAs are to go LT or find a LCA that gets rid of the stock LBJ. We will have a stock length and LT version on the market soon that will get rid of the stock LBJ and upgrade it to a vertical uniball.

Interesting!

Can you speak to a rough price range?

Also, is there any intent to make it offset the lower uniball joint perhaps 0.5-1" forward?

Pricing hasn't been determined yet. The first LT kit will be run on our 4600 truck for KOH in February for testing. Stock length design hasn't been completed yet

Are there any inexpensive LCA options that get upgrade the LBJ to something that isn't essentially a maintenance item? Not sure I want to change them out every time I change the rad fluid.

Thanks!

Specifically, not looking for LT, though. It seems a very easy 3-birds-with-one-stone move would be to offset the lower joint forward slightly, without actually lengthening anything. This would 1) solve the alignment problems that otherwise require UCAs (i.e. more folks buy your product instead of other UCAs), 2) trade challenging firewall tubbing for easier fender / bumper trimming to fit larger tires, and 3) still get your users a stronger LCA. Basically, the benefits of 1 and 2 are simply added bonuses for the end user going for #3, with little sacrifice.
