LCA question: replace just bushing or the whole arm?

got the parts from McGeorge and had it done this weekend.
Took mechanic about 3 hours to do that in a shop. I would've never done that on my own with the tools that I have.
Left was a pain to remove. Right came off a bit easily.

Now I have metal arms on my hands and some used, but in decent shape hardware.

I was wondering, is that of any value?

Only OEM, it's not a fun job, and since you're paying someone to do it twice you don't want to pay them to do it twice when they aftermarket trash fails. Replacing the arm is much easier, that's what I did.

OEM should run about $400 for the pair, order from Mcgeorge Toyota Parts Online, they are cheaper than Camelback Toyota for those of us on the east coast typically.

Also get new cam adjusters, bolts, and maybe nuts (Toyota calls these plates, you can probably get away with reusing your old ones) since you live in the rust belt yours are almost definitely going to be seized.

Here's the part numbers, check the numbers before you order for yourself though.

OEM Right LCA - 48068-35081 - $181.55 x1
OEM Left LCA - 48069-35081 - $181.55 x1
OEM LCA Bolt - 90080-11283 - $4.16 x4
OEM LCA Plate - 48452-35020 - $14.97 x4
OEM LCA Adjuster Cam - 48409-35050 - $12.45 x4

Oldish thread, but was wondering if one buys a whole new OEM LCA, if the ball joints come preinstalled? It's been more than several years since I read it, but I swear I saw a thread that I can't find now where someone argued it was worth it to just buy the new LCA rather than changing the bushings and ball joint, because the new LCA came with them both already preinstalled. Although I checked some Toyota parts diagrams like this one:

It shows it comes without. I'm getting ready to replace many of the front end components before I splurge on a lift and I'm trying to get a list of all parts I need and LCA arms/bushings are one of them. Does anybody have any insight on this?

The LCA does not come with a balljoint. You buy them separately.

Definitely do ball joints! Check you CV boots because they will be at more of an angle and start to leak or crack. Steering rack or possibly just doing the bushings.
