LDA/Pre-Collision/Headlight Malfunction Warning

Putting this out here as I bring my 21 Nightshade in for the 3rd time tomorrow for this issue. It’s happened 8-10 times now where, while driving, I get LDA, Pre-Collision and headlight malfunction warnings and to contact the dealer. The last time they recalibrated the front camera. It lasted about 3 weeks and then all 3 came back. I’ve made no mods since purchasing. Getting frustrated, wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issue and possible resolution?

Does it do it with the feature turned off? (Should be lowest button on right side of steering wheel)

You can lemon law the vehicle at this point.

My wife said there was an open recall on the sensor on her Tacoma and it was changed out at the last service. May be something to check into as hers was doing the same thing (and one of the reasons I got a '19 instead of a '20 4Runner).

Any chance that it's raining when you get these faults? I see in your post that it says contact the dealer, so they're legit fault codes, but worth an ask.


Long shot, but I know all of those features disable on my GF's CX-5 in low-visibility situations.

It has occurred during inclement weather, however, it has also occurred in good weather situations. I have not tested to see if it occurs with LDA off. Dealer has it now, they’ve opened a case with Toyota, stay tuned………
