Leaky CV boot: quick fix solution

sorry don't have pics for now guys, but just wrapped a few layers over top the axle crossing onto the edge of the CV boot where the clamp is. Took 2 minutes with the wheel still on, just crawled underneath.

The tape is really great, just one of those nice things to always have a roll around for things. The tape is not adhesive, it adheres only to itself when wrapped around itself due to the silicone properties. Keep it stretched tightly when wrapping it around and when you due so the tape tightens onto itself.(almost like heatshrink, but without the heat)

When I worked in the marine industry, I had a guy once tell me he repaired a leak in a boat's hydraulic steering system with this tape, long enough to get the boat back to shore.

I just did this tonight on my GX. I noticed some grease splatter on the wheel well last night and saw a little bit of grease coming out from the edge of the boot clamp. I used Duck brand silicone tape:
Wrap Fix® Tape

Few zip ties just in case. If you use this silicone tape make sure you stretch and pull it as tight as you can as you wrapping it, that's how it seals to itself.
