leaky cv's

First off, I did several searches.... "CV" is too short a word, so the search engine kicks it out and all I get is a bunch of pages on every kind of leak you can imagine ...

After my 3" lift, with diff drop, my cv's are leaking.

I did try to put hose clamps on them, but they still leak.

Is there a good write up on the best procedure for re-filling the grease, what grease to use, and what is the best way to stop the leak?

never done it . . .but . . seems like this will work:

-go get u some grease (not sure what kind)
-go to lowes/west marine or something similar and purchase a plastic tipped syringe that you can load some grease into (west marine has them in the fiberglass/epoxy ssection)
-take the current clamp off the cv boot
-wiggle the syringe up in there and get as much as u need in there
-take a replacement clamp and reclamp.
(be sure not to reclamp in a location that will cause the boot to stretch causing it to rip completely in half [i did this the first time i tried to put the new clamp on)

I still havn't found one for same reason, not enough letters. I know i have seen a link posted a couple times when this comes up but not sure where to find. I usually run until boots get torn and put new CV's on. Then again mine never leaked they just tore. I did find a cool You Tube video showing how to take apart our shafts to replace the boots. They used an FJ cv shaft but it is the same for ours. I think it was posted my MetalCrafters or something like that.

A little tech help... for 3 letter words (and on some sites, 4 letter words also), type cv* and it will search for cv.

I had the same problem after my lift, ended up just changing both inner boots with OEM kits, haven't had a problem since.
