Leaky differential

I've got a 91 t4r and just realized I had a leaky differential. I was wondering if anyone has done work by themselves on such a problem. I also have 2 front axles going bad.

where is the diff leaking? where the drive shaft goes in or around the casing?
If its the pinion seal then they can be tricky if you dont have the right tools.

If its a pinion seal, take it in. I got one fixed on an '89 yota pickup for like a hundred bucks, but that was when I lived in northern MN.

the mechanic said its just leaking from around the seal. He thinks I just have to pull the casing off and reseal it.
