I have been treating mine about every month and a half. The best thing to do is let the truck sit in the sun for a while so the pores in the leather open up and soak up the leather treat. Then just buff'em out. On one of my last cars, I had the seats feeling like butter after treating them for a while.

For all my other products I use Griot's Garage, but I have been using Zymol Leather Treat for years and just can't break the habit. I usually just order it from here: http://www.emmonscoachworks.com/

Like I said, before I apply it, I let the leather warm up in the sun, or if it is winter I leave it running with the heaters on full blast, then I just use a terry cloth pad to apply it. After I let it sit for a little bit I just buff the seats with a terry cloth towel.

It has a nice leathery smell. It is a collagen based lotion, so it doesn't have a chemical smell at all. Collagen is the the natural agent in a cow's hide that makes leather so soft, so it is actually feeding the leather the moisture it needs. It doesn't even really smell after about a day.

I use leatherique's full condition/clean cycle treatment every 6 or so months, with Zaino bros leather cleaner/conditioner quick treatments every 2 months inbetween. So basically I'll use leatherique, then two months later zaino, then two months later zaino, then leatherique again.

It works like a charm.

Just remember that if it's colder than 60 degrees in your car, leather conditioner doesn't work. You need to either put a space heater inside your car until the conditioner is absorbed, or wait until it gets warmer outside.
