Leather or Vinyl on Dash and Doors - 2000 T4R Limited

Hello,

I am considering changing the interior color of my 3rd gen but haven't been able to find any information on wether the trim pieces on the doors and dash are leather or vinyl.

I'd like to figure this out before I start painting away. It seems like the dashboard is wrapped in real leather with some real leather pieces on but again I am not expert. I tried pushing down to see if they "spider" but there isn't enough give to be able to figure it out this way

Does anyone know the answer? Any help and advice on this and changing the interior color in general would be much appreciated.

No way the dash or doors have any leather on them unless a previous owner did it.

Seats, steering wheel and (maybe?) e-brake handle will be the only leather parts in the 4Runner.

Edit: even the center console will be fake leather

it's vinyl or foam backed fabric. I have done the door cards and door handles. foam is 3/16" thick behind things are stapled. you can disassemble most things and plastic weld them back together.

it's going to be difficult to do the dash but I would love to see how it turns out for you?
