LED amber daytime running lights installed

Following the OPs lead, I ordered two of these Ozmium LEDs from Amazon and will install them this weekend.

I am thinking about placing them INSIDE my headlamp, upper inside corner on the flat/wavy triangle behind the glass.

Regardless where I install them, I will probably wire them to turn ON with the marker lights.

I might use the filler panel below the headlamp for an LED turn signal/DRL combo possibly using something like this -> http://a.co/4kxcV7I

Anyone know if these could be tied into the turn signal lamps so that they blink with the turn signals? While they certainly look cool just lit up — I would want extra functionality with them if possible...cause other drivers are idiots of course, and anything I can do to help prevent them from running into me is a good thing.

I'm curious if combining LEDs and normal bulbs on the same circuit is OK. Wouldn't the normal bulb provide enough resistance to prevent the LED hyper flash too?

Just came across this question... you should be able to (1) IF you have conventional incandescent bulb for your turn signal (i.e., 26-watt 1156's), and (2) IF your turn signal is switched positive (which most signal lights are).
Wire this way:
1) Positive side Oznium Bolt LED light to positive of marker light circuit.
2) Negative side of the Oznium LED to positive of TURN SIGNAL that side.

The added Oznium LEDs will blink alternately with the stock turn signals.

I like this! In your video I like how the lights alternate. Also I hadn't thought of a low mounted rear blinker like that either. Kinda like that too.

Should be a piece of cake. Just need to verify your turn signal wiring / color code / wire Identification. Also...
NOTE: For best/guaranteed results, use LED lights for the marker/clearance/parking lights and conventional incandescent bulb (OR LED with resistor in parallel) for stock turn signal.

Low-mounted is basically same as the rear side markers on 80's cars and the FJ80, but wired to blink alternately with stock turn signals.

Someday, I'll wire up the front corner clearance lights to also blink at same time as the fender-mounted one. Should be a half-hour job.

Sorry y'all don't really understand how this posting a question things works but this thread is as close as I could find to post in, #newb #jerry but anyway i wanted to add some LED lights in sequence with my side markers/running lights so i spliced in wires and then ran those to some amber LED's I got from eBay the LED's turned on with my headlights and work as the side markers lights would. But now the halogen lights that are in the side markers won't come on. Before I wired the LED's in the halogens were working as they should even with the new wires spliced in. Any help is much appreciated just trying to have both lights work I'll post some photos for reference tomorrow.

I’d have to break out my old school text books for a refresher on OHMs law and basic electrical theory but it is possible the LED’s are drawing just enough to prevent the halogens from lighting. Electricity would still be flowing through the element in the bulb, but there may not be enough current to light it up.

This is just off the top of my head.

When I wired up mine (I’m the original poster), I ran them off a switched power source that was controlled by the ignition. The LED circuit was separate from everything else.

Not likely.
If it had been a canbus vehicle that may have been a possibility.

I wired several things off my marker circuits but used relays to power them.

Notwithstanding a wiring error, you'd need a multimeter to check voltage and continuity to diagnose properly vs just guessing.

Pretty rudimentary wiring going on, the previous owner had accessory running lights wired into the side marker bulb clip. So All I did was undo their shitty work and do the same thing and by same thing all I did was run a positive and a negative off the two wires going to the bulb clip, just with better wiring techniques. When I was done wiring turned them on, checked to see if I had voltage and light and I did so I thought all was Bueno. Fast forward got new lights amber LED's off eBay. Wired them up to the positive and negative and sure enough turned on headlights and they came on working just as the side markers are supposed too. But now the side marker bulbs don't light up. So too put it simple after running new wires off the side markers and running new lights,the new lights work but original side markers don't why? I'll get around to posting photos of the rig but the wiring is nothing special just waterproof butt splices from old wires to new wires.

Use a good body ground for negative rather than the negative in the harness; those are often switched.
