In my experience with LED's, you want something that has more LED's on it than less.

The one quoted above may look nice and fancy and all, but it only has two LED's. When one fails, you've lost 50% of your light. And the fact it has a heat sink on it means it runs hot.

I ordered these a year and a half ago and have been very happy with them. They have 12 SMD's on them so if one or two fail, so what? I've still got 10 working. For the record, all 12 LED's are working on both still. The more complicated it gets with adapters, wiring, etc just means more parts that can fail.

You'll need to verify this, but I don't think the canbus version will work in our trucks. Pretty sure those will only work in much newer vehicles.

The single LED Crees have been in the dome and cargo light since around last September. It's darn bright too. Anywhere you sit you can read, I sat in the back seat to program the RS3000 for a cheepo fob I bought last night.

I payed too much for them though. I found the singles for 3.90 each.

The only issue with the panel type is that there really isn't a place to stick them to inside the housing. I just let them lay on top of the lenses, seem to work fine.

Yeah, I concede defeat. I thought they had to fit in the square area, but it can be longer. My bad.

No worries, glad we clarified it. I was worried that someone might have ordered them based on my info and then they wouldn't fit. Obviously, anyone wanting to order this type will need to measure to make sure.
