Tried the install of the Morimoto H11's I also purchased the 9005 and anti flicker bus's for the high beam from Morimoto but never got to install the high beam setups. These are a joke. The fans are so loud they can be heard over the engine and the slightest movement of them causes serious vibration issues. The light is a great color but the light distribution from them in the reflector are worse than OEM or a good halogen bulb. Huge black spots for 25 feet in front of car as well as no light up on the sides. Thank goodness for the OEM LED fogs on the pro. People said don't use LED's in the projectors I completely get it now. If I upgrade guess I am going with HID's

Installed the cougar motor 9005's in the highs last night. Mainly wanted the puke yellow to go away from the DRL's and these were the only ones I could find that had the attached power management system that dont flicker without an additional attachment. (feel free to tell me of others) So far I like them but have not driven at night yet with the highs on. Initially they are a little loose in the housing, more than I like but the color is great with the DRL. I am taking them on a long trip tomorrow so we will see how they do.

I was very unhappy with them. The lights aren’t adjustable so however they fit that’s what you get. Mine were pointed straight down. I returned them and went with the katana led lights. Ordered the DDM tuning for the DRL/high beam and should have those by next week

THANK YOU for this post. I ordered the low beam lights from your link and followed your example. These lights work perfect and look sooooo much better than the stock yellow-y dim lights.
Thank you for including the exact description and link to buy. So many of these threads have fancy code word names for lights they are using. Makes it impossible for non-tech person like myself to understand or decifer.
I just ordered the high beams from Amazon tonight. I am sure they will work and install as nice as the low beams did.

Dang, I was really interested in going through Headlight Revolution and getting their SV.4 Lows / Highs (Unsure what to do about the Fogs)
But you've turned me on to the Morimoto 2 Strokes... Gonna have to do some more research, but I'm assuming you can get both Lows / Highs / and Fogs all through the same brand/company?

Here's what I picked, with justification for each one:
Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 low beams
Xenon Depot Pro high beams with DRL mode drivers (the only LED bulb/driver I know of that offers full DRL functionality)
Philips 12793UNIX2 yellow fogs
I wanted bulbs that dropped in with zero modification to housings or dust caps. The Morimotos have a fan and that's fine with me, as they're protected behind the dust cap. The XD highs have passive fin radiators, and the DRL drivers are stuck under the plastic engine bay sills with 3M double-sides tape. The Philips fogs are the most exposed to the dirt and elements, so I think it's good that they have more robust machined heatsinks. Can't drive them as hard but I'm less worried about gunk hurting them. I would NOT run a bulb with a fan or delicate fins in this location if you do any offroading.
I'm happy with the light quality from all three sets. The lows are a marked improvement over halogen bulbs and maintain factory beam pattern, hotspot, and cutoff. The highs are very bright and the DRL functions perfectly at about 15% of full brightness. There is a tiny amount of observable flicker remaining- I'd compare it to the hum of a fluorescent light- very hard to distinguish unless you're looking for it. The fogs offer great contrast, are much brighter and wider, and blend the area immediately in front of the truck into the bottom of the headlight beams.
I am curious about the Supernova V.4 bulbs, they seem confident that their bulbs are the brightest LED available while maintaining good optics and cutoff. Headlight Revolution has also reviewed the Morimoto 2-stroke favorably, though I haven't seen a direct comparison between the two.

Headlight Revolution tested 105 bulbs(there's a youtube video) for the 4runner and narrowed it down to the 2 that they sell for the headlights. One is the 'mini' that I have and the other one is a bit bigger, not sure if the dust cover needs to be drilled out for the larger one.
Anyway, very happy with the light output and quality. It's not scattered or aiming up at the trees. Huge improvement over stock and I haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic.

Both are relatively cheap but I have to admit they are good for me and a big step up from stock halogen. The High Beam in particular is super bright!

Yep, it's the same Chicom company that cranks them out for a number of different manufacturers. That being said, I can't guarantee they all spec out the same. Headlight Revolution also has EK Light make their fanless bulbs: EKlight V10 H11 Fanless LED HEADLIGHT/FOG LIGHT BUILT-IN DRIVER - China Ek Lighting
Not necessarily a bad thing because EK is pretty reputable... although there is a significant markup going on there.
