LED Interior lights?

Are all the LED interior light kits pretty much the same, so shop by price, or are some better than others? How much light, light temperature is good? I don't want it to feel like I'm at the dentist's office under the exam lights.

I've had good luck with Auxbeam & Phillips led bulbs. I prefer around 5000k as I don't like it so white that it's blue. Most decent bulbs have reverse polarity protection so if you install them and they don't work, flip them.

I'm happy with my Diode Dynamics. Went all 5k. Seeing as how nice of a product their SS3 fog lights are, I had no hesitation in going with their interior LED lights.

I just did this in my new to me '16 TPE.

I know I know, **** amazon, but i bought:

Amazon.com: iBrightstar Newest Extremely Bright Wedge T10 168 194 LED Bulbs for Car Interior Dome Map Door Courtesy License Plate Lights, Xenon White : Automotive

and these:

Amazon.com: iBrightstar Newest 9-30V Extremely Bright DE3175 DE3021 Festoon LED Bulbs Error Free 1.25" 31mm for Interior Map Dome Lights and License Plate Courtesy Lights, Gold : Everything Else

Installed them yesterday.

took about 25 minutes. Now I have Red Lights in all of the front interior, doors, and the mirror ground lights outside. And then I got the Gold of the festoon, for the rear hatch, and the center ceiling one. Red because the TPE is in Barcelona Red, and to reduce night blindness from a bright 5500k LED, and Gold for the rear hatch because Bugs are least attracted to gold/yellow light, while providing a large light boost over the old bulbs.

I also get some of the bright white leds, for the license plates.

The kits are mostly mono-color, and since all car interior bulbs are standardized, you can get customized colors by handpicking each size. Then you have some spares for the partners car or if they break!

If want a variety of light (white or red) with a lot of out put, look into MESO customs. I have the dome light as well as the front lights with them and I love it. The kids can be able to use the red light while I am driving without distraction. It is all plug and play, so you do not need to do any wiring. I found my MESO lights on the Running for TACOs website.

Just want brighter lights than stock, no colors or screaming bright, super cold lights.
