LED Light Bar Quick Disconnect

OK, I searched and couldnt find anything so I figured I'd ask.

I'm going to pickup a couple LED Light Bars, one for the roof rack and 1 for the front bumper and I would really like to install them with some sort of weather proof quick disconnect so if I feel like removing them I can without any issues.

Has anyone here done this? If so, please share.

My connectors are inside the car. The problem I see with having connectors outside vechile is potential theft. Easy to disconnect, losen few botlts and its gone.

I personally whish their was a way to lock the lights up with key or or cable.

You can cut many of these in half and have a standard "fog light" connector:

I bought a kit of Weatherpack connectors to use for any wiring that is exposed to the outdoor elements. When I built my rear bumper and installed my backup lights I wanted some quick disconnects for the wiring in case I had to take the bumper off, and it's come in handy several times.

Ebay, lots of kits big and small. Some just the connectors but I got the one with the crimping tool as well.

Thanks. Does anyone happen to know what gauge size wires come on the LED light bars so I can order my connectors?

Mine was 10 gauge, but yours could be different.

You can cut the wires with a pocket knife in a couple of seconds, so I don't think the wiring is going to be much of a deterrent for someone who wants to steal them. Tamper resistant bolts are probably a better option if theft is a concern.
