Led Light Mods?

This may pertain to those who have done some. There are LED kits out there that have more than 3 LEDs powered by a single 12volt power source. What does it take to do that? I've made 4 to 9 LED strings and even the cigarette lighter plug is not enough to light them all. I've done LEDs in series and parallel circuits. Am I missing something in the circuit? What do I have to engineer in the wiring circuit to power 4 or more LEDs together?:awais:

Maybe I'm not fully understanding your situation.

LEDs pull milliamps. There should be ZERO problem using the cigarette outlet to power 4-9 of them. Are you saying SOME are not lighting? If this is so, you may simply have the polarity reversed. Flip it around and you should be in business.

Of course, if you are wanting to plug straight in to the cigarette lighter plug, you also need to be using 12v LEDs. Most LEDs are 3v or even 6v. If this is the case, you will also need to install some resistors as well to drop the voltage down.
