Great looking bar!
I dont know how this cool looking bar mounts.I know the Piaa's have a single stud you mount through a hole- which anyone can un fasten with an adj wrench.. they are off. I was wondering if you might be able to get in there and place a small tack weld so the nut cannot be moved.

I know here in NY if that were to happen then that same wrench would be used to smash the light- then YOU have deal with that mess.

I am the last person to ever give a thief or just plain vandal a pass.. but sometimes you have to think about yourself and what you have to do to right someone else wrong..

I have one of each..... problem around here all the kids around here get away with everything... I had a buddy who was held up at gunpoint he has a CCW saw the chance to "dispatch" the bad guy. The Bad guys parents made it seem like baby dillenger was a saint. and after 12K in lawyer fees was he cleared of everything.. it's like you have to prove you were the victim.... it really sucks..

Looks great. I thought about getting a 30" and mounting it in that same location but was worried it would be more suceptible (SP?) to damage and therefore ordered a 20" and just going to mount it between the hoop when I get a DO bumper.

Glad you did this though b/c I know lots of us were wondering if a 30" would fit in that location.

30" Led Light Bar

I went in to order these light bars and they gave me a better deal...don't know about $300, but I got a box of these things for $320 a piece. Was going to keep one for my rig and another for my buggy. I have 6 more if anybody is interested. Will post pics of my install when it's done. I was thinking of adding a 40" to the top bar. It fights almost perfectly to the tube rails if the dimensions quoted are accurate. Anybody put a 40" on top? Have any tips?

So I wanted to share: I've been happy with the light output, but the durability of this lamp sucks!

I've owned for 4 weeks and there is moisture already under the lense, and I cracked the lense today driving through wyoming.

A. Don't purchase during winter
B. Place some sort of mess grill over your install if possible
C. Don't complain that Rigid lights are so expensive! At least they last!

I've owned for 4 weeks and there is moisture already under the lense, and I cracked the lense today driving through wyoming.

A. Don't purchase during winter
B. Place some sort of mess grill over your install if possible
C. Don't complain that Rigid lights are so expensive! At least they last!

That sucks, do they offer any warranty?

The makers I've been dealing with offer a 1 year warranty, it's just a bit of a hassle to deal with unless you're already having something shipped here.

I haven't had any problems with mine so far fortunately..

Does it still function alright with the cracked lens and condensation?

Edit - if so I wonder if you could fix the leaking with some clear laminate. Since yours is hidden I wouldn't think the crack would matter if you can keep water out.

I actually noticed condensation under the lense after my first couple of mountain winter trips. I'm just pissed that the lense wasn't more durable in order to manage a few pebbles. If it still works I guess no worries, but its only a matter of time before it poops out on me. I'm going to call the distributor and see if there is a work around.

Update: I called Matt at Exploration Outfitters regarding the moisture and cracked lense and he will replace this under warranty. Matt was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. I recommend buying from these guys!

lightbar looks so good down there man! any output or install (or both:fro pics available?

I had welded on mounting tabs from earlier, then used two metal brackets and bolts picked up at the local harware store to fab up my install. I used a few washers to secure, and the led bar is firmly attachd with no vibrations.

I'm looking to do the same install, do you have anymore detailed pictures of the install and mounting points? I'm looking to put an 8" light on either side of the license plate so it should be the same idea

HOJEEPSTER, did you mount that to the Radiator/AC condensor frame or direct to the steel bumper ?

I'm planning the same install, maybe even a Yellow/Amber down low, and/or a white up higher.

I had mounting tabs welded to the bumper frame. I then mounted the light mounts to the tabs on the bumper. This system worked pretty well. I ended up selling the 30 inch LED bar because with that and the 40 inch it was just too much light haha.

Update, apparently this first led bar I had was a first generation design. Exploration Outfitters replaced under warranty no questions asked with the 2nd generation light bar which has the better pvc lense. Highly recommend Exploration Outfitters.

If you cut out the lower grill, you could always get some clear Laminx film to put on the lens. That would give it plenty of protection.

I just installed the same light on my 5th gen yesterday on the upper portion of the grille, came out great. I love how it makes te Toyota emblem glow orange when it's on!
