LED Tail light Problem

Recently I ordered Amazon.com: Depo 312-1976L-US Toyota 4Runner Driver Side Replacement Taillight Unit without Bulb: Automotive and Depo 312-1976R-US Toyota 4Runner Passenger Side Replacement Taillight Unit without Bulb : Amazon.com : Automotive for my 2005 4runner. I installed them, and checked to see if all the lights worked properly. The brake light worked fine, but the turn signal, and reverse light would not come on. I spent about 2 hours playing with it seeing if I could get it to work, but I ended up putting the old lights on until I can find a solution. Anyone have any suggestions?

I bought a set of aftermarket lights a few months ago. They looked great, but just like you I was having problems, except with just my reverse lights. Hook them up again, and then pay close attention to the metal tabs on the turn signal/reverse bulbs, and the contact points on the taillight itself. On the taillights I bought, the tabs on the bulb didn't line up perfectly with the contact points on the taillight housing. There was too much room for the bulb to slide around in the socket. I could have fixed it with a little bit of dremelling and some electrical tape, but I figured if the craftsmanship on just the plastic housing was that shoddy, I wouldn't expect the quality of the LED units to be much better. I packed them up and returned them and will buy OEM lights when I get around to it. You get what you pay for... my thoughts at least.
