Reverse Light Bulb Replacement Not Working

I noticed that my drivers side reverse light went out recently on my 2009 Trail Edition, so I went and bought a pair of replacement bulbs (Sylvania 921 Long Life). I replaced it with the new bulb but it seems like its still not working. Thinking that maybe the new bulbs were faulty, I replaced the passenger side that was still working with the new bulb and it worked, so the bulbs are fine. I should note that I had to replace the drivers side taillight about a year ago because someone backed into me and cracked it. Not sure if this is related, and I don't think I installed them incorrectly because it seems pretty straightforward and hard to mess up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the bulb holder needs to be installed in the socket correctly, looks like you didn't get in at the correct position.

I mean it only clicks in one way so I don't think that's it.
