Well it was finally warm enough to get out and take some Before pics. I have LC rims waiting for tires and Front and Rear bumpers are being fabbed up. Since its warm i can finally take off the front brush guard and running boards and get them listed to be sold. I'm still in limbo about the lift but I will get it sorted out by the end of the month. All in all I just want it ready by april when it starts getting nice out again.

Thanks It's 98 with 102K one-owner miles on it. It looks new inside and out. I'm really enjoying it so far.

The painted LC wheels are on!! I also got rid of some extra weight too. Bye Bye running boards and grille guard.

About an inch. 265/70 is about a 30.5" tire and a 265/75 is about a 31.5". It means the tire is 265mm wide and the sidewall is 70% (or 75%) of the width. Lame way to measure tires, but it's what you have to deal with when you run 16" wheels.

The way I painted them was quite simple. Bought two cans of Duplicolor Charcoal Metallic a can of clear and some red scotch brite pads.

1. Prep Prep Prep- I degreased with rim cleaner and then simple green. Then scuffed them up with the red scotch brite pads. It takes awhile but the result is worth it. After that cleaned with water and then brake cleaner to get everything off.

2. Got them up to room temp and blew them off with air then painted them with about 4 coats with about 7-10 min apart. I let that set up for about 15 min and then put about 3 light coats of clear on.

Then I let them sit in the heated garage at work for about 2 weeks to set up.

I got them on and no chips on the rims

I would say prep would be the most important.

Have any questions feel free to ask

I have a question...hoiw much to ship those wheels to me and do you take paypal? ok, that's two questions....feel free to answer them in one reply though...

haha! How about this. You can buy my old factory rims and you can try out your painting skills. Ha ha. Yes I'm very happy how the wheels turned out.

I guess that was my way of saying I'm very happy with how they turned out as well! Good job...one day I'll find a set of LC wheels...
