iPad running Gaia GPS, handheld ham radio, CB radio in ashtray, and OTRATTWs switches under the radio. Out of frame is the transmission and coolant gauges on the shifter surround.

Sweet! What model ham radio? I’d like one of those eventually as well.

This might end up being my new favorite thread! I’m always moving my set up around. Here it is currently.
Scangauge, maglite, altimeter, and levels cause I sleep in the back when we go out camping. The steel balls are phone mounts. I made up a custom bracket for the driver side. And of course the Uniden 520 mounted in the ashtray. The mic is also on a custom magnetic mount. Makes for easy connecting when hard on a trail.

Could you post another picture of the altimeter and those others next to te shifter? I really want a mounted compass. Nice choice of CB!

Here's my current setup. I plan on adding a second tablet with a RAM Mount for Navigation in a few weeks.

LOL I can only fast forward so many times on Pandora. I love Green Day. I agree, I can't hit "Thumbs Down" fast enough when Nickelback comes on. I can listen to almost anything (except Country). Anything from Lionel Richie to Five Finger Death Punch. :rofl:

This is exactly why I keep all my music local. I have a Fiio X3 and a 128GB sdcard with all my tunes on it. They range from AC/DC to Zap Mama. I can delete or add artists as I see fit and play what I want when I want.

That being said, there's a tiny bit of Alanis Morrisette in my collection. I mention this as the prelude to a pretty funny story.

I'm a carpenter and took a new job last year. I roll onto the jobsite and get to work. After an hour I realize no one has a job site radio going. So I plug in my radio and put my DAP on shuffle. After a few hours of Slayer, Beasties, Tool, Billy Joel, Johhny Cash, Frank Zappa, AC/DC and a host of others Alanis comes on. It happened to be the song Ironic.

You have to picture four tough guys swinging a hammer. Song comes on and I get this look from everyone of them. I take the usual ration of shit for having this type of music on my DAP. I'm walking away about to fast forward the song when I hear it. My boss starts singing the chorus. Then a second later the other guys start singing along.

Now I'm thinking to myself, isn't this ironic. I let the song play and started singing with my "tough" guy crew. Irony? Not really. Funny as hell. Absolutely.

What mirror is that and does it allow the sunvisors to come down all the way?

It's a Limited rear view mirror, standard and yes it allows the visors to move up/down freely without hitting/adjusting the mirror. It also autochromatic (self adjusting for night time rear lights coming brightly into mirror). :cowboy:

The trick to Pandora is to thumbs down everything you don't want and NEVER thumbs up anything you like. Using the thumbs up too much, along with normal use of thumbs down narrows you to a tiny playlist.

It's just the cheap Baofeng UV-5R with an upgraded antenna. Eventually, I'll put in a mobile unit when I use it more often.

Just a SG but I am happy with how the mounting turned out. I drilled 4 small holes - 2 in the rear case of the SG (take it apart first) and two in the glasses holder. Its attached w. two medium sized zip ties from the rear. One larger hole for the cable to pass through. The result is very solid and out of my line of sight to the mirror.

The mirror is made by Gentex ADVGENN20A install not to hard have to run power and temp sensor wires around headliner,the sensor gets mounted under front bumper,it mounts to the windshield which is why you can mount your scan gauge above it, which I really like the look of, In fact I have actually taken it out of one rig and reinstalled in another...

Here is a close up like you asked. I simply took an old name tag and glued it on. Added a little flare to the metal part so it doesn’t slide down. All the rough roads I’ve been on and it’s never fallen off.

This is a Sun Company altimeter. It works amazing and is fun to watch. I live in Northern Arizona so any given day I can go from 3000-7500ft. When ever I check it against a road side sign (or map or other device) it’s always within 100 ft so it’s incredibly accurate.

However the compass and thermometer are not accurate at all. If interested I would buy the altimeter only. It’s also $20 cheaper.

I wanted it to be removable for back packing so I have a nut glued to the trim (inside) and a hex head to easily turn with my fingered.

Ugh, taking pictures of lighting is too hard. It looks right with my naked eyeballs. I have the aux gauge lighting switched as I prefer a darker cabin without bright lights. Yes, the clock is still green. Changing the color makes it too dark to read in daylight.

The phone are ham are both on Pop Socket mounts. The iPad is on this mount, which I wouldn't suggest since it shakes a good amount while driving.

Alright thank you. I got some good ideas now. I like the iPad holder coming from the bottom like that other than having a suction cup mount on the windshield but it may come down to that if it can’t ho,d the iPad well.

The 3 gauge cluster on your dash? It shows, uphill/downhill degrees, sidehill degrees and what is the 3rd? Altimeter? Is it aftermarket? If so, a link?
