Lets get some opinions on rims..

It looks like they cleared the UCA's but had a slight rub with out a body lift. He said they might have worked to but he didn't have the pinch weld mod or fender trimming done either.
 
So he had a 4runner like ours and 315/75 tires with the lc rims and it worked with no spacers? That suprises me. Isnt the backspacing on them 4''?

so what size tire are you running in the og pic on page one? and is that lifted at all?

Back on track how does this sound......black steel rims with 4'' backspacing and I shave down the a arms some and use 1/4 wheel spacer....think this setup will work??

no it looks lifted, i was just wondering as i have my lc coils and ome's for the front with a 3/4 top plate spacers getting ready to go on and am chasing my tail on what size tire i can fit and what will look best, i got 900 for new tires and only get one chance to get a good fit, and we all know how the tires guys are they look at their chart and say you can only fit 31's and then the debate starts to ensue, so i just need a good idea of what others are running.

you answer was good enough as i'm not trying to hijack this thread just needed a bit of info on your ride man ;-)

No not hijacking its cool.

If I were to go with say ar mojave teflon or renegade 6 rims would I still need hub centric wheel spacers or would regular wheel spacers work without vibration?

Im kind of in the same situation, I don't know what rims to get but I do want black steel ones. I am thinking about just powercoating mine so that way I dont have to worry about the sizes and I know what I'm getting. Just a thought. Lemme know hwat you end up deciding.
 
Here's what my Land Cruiser wheels turned out like. They push the tire out just enough to be even with the limited flares. Plenty of room on the inside for bigger tires. I'm running 265/75's

VERY NICE! i like em. did you powdercoat?
 
Thanks very much! I just painted them. Not bad for $22 in paint and scotch brite pads. Ha ha! Duplicolor paint and then a couple coats of clear. I 'll see how they hold up to the harsh winter road chemicals.

My question for Ryani is, did you two tone those center caps? The look partially black...imagination?

The color of paint I used is Charcoal Metallic. I scotch brite both rim and center cap. Then painted them both with the same amount of coats. I think the two tone effect is from the light hitting it. It could also be from the rim starting out shiny and the cap was a dull plastic. In person they look the same.

I wanna do the same thing but I am trying to decide whether to just powder coat like you did or get my self a set of Pro Comp 7089's. Cant decide.
