Well, I just can't leave well enough alone. I have been planning and researching and gathering parts for the 231 TBU. I have been able to locate pretty much everything I need/ want for this mod so far. But I'm trying to figure out a good set of lines to run with the new calipers. I'm gonna replace them, probably caliper hard lines and all, somebody did a real bang-up job on mine before I owned it. It works and there are no leaks but the caliper hard-lines and retaining brackets are all bent to shit, and that just wont do.
Anyways I wonder if there is some difference between Gen 1 Tacoma front lines, and Gen 3 4Runner, they are sold as different parts on Wheelers website,

Gen 3 4Runner

My question is, do the Taco lines not use a hard-line to the Caliper? They have a banjo end and a retainer tab, and appear to be longer.
Can I use them on my 4Runner to eliminate the caliper hard-line?
Yes? No? Other Options? Discuss...
