Level 8 MK6

I have a 4th gen with a 3" Toytec lift and SPC UCA's. Do you guys think I should go with 17x9 with 0 offset or with -12 offset? That is all I see available in matte black. I am considering 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers even though I am tempted to go larger this is what currently makes sense.
Right now I just rub at full lock when going forward and turning left. My front passenger tire hits the arm next to the frame. Currently have stock 17's and cooper at3's 265/70/17.

I would recommend the 17x9 with -12mm offset. I'm running a toytec ultimate 3/2 with stock uca's, said rims and 285/75 r17 Nitto Terra G2's. I slid the fender liners forward and I have no rubbing at all.

Also, if you haven't tried eBay for the level 8's try the seller directlinewheels. They had what I needed and helped with tires and lugs too.

Great info. I just noticed the ridge grappler has a c rated 285/75/17 on the Nitto website. I always thought they only came in E rated that size. I am now considering those. I am looking on discount tire because they will mount the tires on the wheels, balance and ship for free.

Hey guys so I have a 2010 trail and was looking to buy new wheels and tires soon. Would I be able to buy a set of level 8 mk6 with the 0mm offset and run 265x70xr17 AT without rubbing? Oh and I do not have any lift at the moment and would this push the the tire outside of the fender at all?

Just had mine installed today. 17x8 ET 0 with 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3 on stock suspension. I did have to remove the front mud flaps to remedy some minor rubbing at full lock. Loving them so far.

alright ive given up. ive read through so much of the "lifted" thread, read through this one, searched all over and i still am so confused! wheel and tire combos are driving me crazy!

ive decided to rant on her in hopes of a kind soul to solve my problems

here we go: i have a 2011 limited 4wd.

I picked my wheel, level 8 mk6 bronze 17x8, but not my offset (0 or -10)

Picked my tire, Falken Wild peak, but not my tire size(265 or 285)!

Just ordered a toytec 2.5 front and 1.5 rear leveling kit

I just cant figure out if 265s will look too small or if 285s are going to rub like crazy!

Im okay with removing my mud flaps and pushing the liner up no big deal but i dont feel like chopping my body mount.

SO my questions are what is the best offset tire combo to go with?? again im just nervous that 265 will look too small

p.s. wild peaks dont come in a 275

anyone??

I've read through this thread a couple of times so I don't think I'm missing it, but I'm looking to purchase the MK6 (wife wants to put some black shoes on the new girl). I'm not lifting or putting new tires on the truck for a year or so, so with that should I go for the -10 or 0? I don't want to do any trimming today, just a fit that looks good.

Any help would be appreciated.

What size and model of tires are you going for? I have 255/75/17 ko2s with -10 offset and rub. I will have to do the fender mod and remove the mud flaps to see if they help. Does look way better with the -10 offset imho.

On another note, does anyone have any tips on how to remove the center cap? Seems the only way to remove it is to remove the wheel first.

People were able to fit 275/70/17 with a -10 stock suspension with no rubbing. Given that 255/75/17 is thinner and shorter, one would reason that it wouldn't rub.

Furthermore, if you check tire fitment guide, 255/75/17 is listed as not rubbing with a stock "0" offset. The -10 offset is enough to give it rubbing. I am providing perspective on his choice of offset for wheels.

Never posted these pics in this thread. The pics are several months old but I still have my MK6's on and lovin' them! Honestly, this is more my style of a wheel and not like most of the other stuff out on the market; beadlock, steelies, etc.

Only wish I went with -10 or -12 for that more aggressive offset.

Great looking truck! I'm looking to order these as well. I'm currently running a 1.25" spidertrax spacer but would like to go with a -12 offset also. Doable?

You'll rub the body mount for sure with that set up. You'll need to do a BMC and weld on some new plates.
