I've always wondered about this demographic for 4Runner owners/fans. What is the highest level of education you've achieved to date?

No, I wanted to avoid that in the first place. I just want to know what people have right now....in other words, the highest level of education completed to date.

Did several years of college without direction after highschool. Been doing the military thing for 11 years and am finally going back to school now.:keyboard: Gotta love the MGI Bill!

I'm currently a utsa mechanical engineering student going for my bachelors degree. If my racing career doesn't take off I have plan b which is going for my doctorate in the same field.

I didn't vote yet. But I wanted to keep the poll anonymous so everyone would be comfortable voting without turning the poll into a pissing contest.

Right now I have a Masters, but I'm actually considering returning to school to complete my Ph.D. Still undecided at this point...I just don't know if the time and money I'll spend on tuition will be worth it or not.

i would have voted, but seriously you need to add "some college" I am a sophomore at Cal State University San Bernardino, And 4 year schools dont have an associates degree, I have all my GE done, but if i voted i would have to put high school.....

Again, I just want to know what people have NOW, not what they will have or what they're working towards... The poll already has a bunch of choices as it is now and adding "working towards an AS" and "working towards a BS" and "working towards a Masters" etc. would just complicate the poll. If you have a high school diploma right now, then that's fine. Nobody is going to fault you for that. Everyone starts at the same place anyway...

Does that disappoint you? From your recent posts on this forum, you seem to think that many folks here lack critical thinking...so, is BS degree not to your level of experience/thinking? Just wondering.

Disappoint me? Absolutely not....it's what I expected.

Don't misunderstand me...Just because there are a few boneheaded people here and there doesn't mean the forum is full of idiots. That's not at all what I'm saying. More importantly, it is my opinion that any degree (or lack thereof) has very little to do with common sense or critical thinking skills. I know people with no college at all who are much more intelligent than some of the people who were in grad school with me. College may make you educated, but it doesn't necessarily make you smart.

BTW, there was a similar thread on one of the BMW M3 forums and if I remember correctly, the majority of people had graduate degrees or higher.

It seems about right when you consider the demographics and the cost of the vehicles in question.

Not sure if you can make that leap of faith....

For example, some folks don't want to buy expensive cars or that they no longer want that...do these folks have lower education simply because they drive a Corolla?

Another example: me...Given a choice b/w a 4runner Trail Ed vs. Range Rover/GX/LX, i would pick the 4runner every single time. Why? As i have said in the past, i am staying away from luxury high end stuff because it creates too much attention for me and my family in public...and thus, creates possible threats. (Yeah, i am paranoid.) In addition, i can't stand to pay ridiculous maintenance costs. So, while i have had BMW M3 SMGII, G-wagen, etc., i will not be going back to them anytime soon....

So, does that mean that some guy in a Range Rover is automatically more educated than me in my lowly Prius or Sienna?
