As a side note, this thread wasn't intended to insult anyone. Anyone with a high school diploma, shouldn't get all butt hurt about it. That's why this is an anonymous poll.

So after 70 responses, approximately 50% of the people who responded have a BS or BA. That's what I expected, but I did think we'd have more people with a Masters degree.

I also expected to see a lot more people with trade school/tech school, especially considering the amount of people who are mechanics on the forum. When it comes to professional mechanics, most of them have some kind of trade school or tech school these days.

i was addressing you. but in a dumb sarcastic way. people keep arguing that you should add a "some college" when you clearly stated earlier that this is an "at this very moment" poll a couple of times. :rant:

I think we may be a more educated bunch than DocMT thought. Shame there was nothing for Bachelors + professional designation - some professional exams are a heck of a lot tougher than a Bachelors (or they were when I did mine).

Two things:
1. Money usually is the driver of automobile purchase and sometimes education does not equal money. You would be suprised how many business owners have really nice vehicles and a high school education.

2. I came out of college after 4 1/2 years as an engineer. Before that though I was a bodyman for several years and during college I tinted windows and striped cars for extra cash. Yes I have a college education but I can still wrench pretty good. There are some mods on here I would not tackle though. Some of these guys are good.

I am a high school grad with some tech schools, I've owned 5 toyotas including 2 tacomas a rav4 and an 2005 4WD tundra limited witch I traded in for my latest 2011 T4R SR5 4WD. Toyota spells quality! I'm sold.
