Leveling - 883 Coils?

Does anyone know if I can use the 883 OME coils in the front to level the 4Runner? I had them on my FJ when I traded it in, so not sure if they will work on the 4Runner. I don't want to use spacers and I can't exactly afford coil-overs at this time. The 883 coils also helped with the nose dipping when you hit the brakes.

It will be interesting to hear . I want to put slightly larger/longer springs to level and prevent sway and the severe nose dive when stopping.

how much will the 895E's raise the 5th Gen's rear? personally, I'd like to replace the coils all around while not raising the vehicle much at all. I also don't want to remove much of the rake, .5" at most.

The 895E is also a 1.5 inch lift. However the 895E's are a medium load coil so the ride will be firmer with those.

That is the shortest coil i am aware of. You could also use a 1.5 inch spacer if you would like to keep your stock ride

It depends on what you want. The 5100's do preload the coil so they can firm up the ride. However the 5100's are much better than the stock shock and make the 4Runner handle better and brake dive less. You can also add the coilover kit to the 5100's later on if you want more lift

same boat here - looking for an increase in rear load capacity while keeping the rear height increase limited to an 1" or so. I know harper7 is running SAW rear coils that were rated @ 1.5" of lift - will these ride better than the 895E?

I think that sounds like a good idea. I'm sure if you stiffen the front the rear should be stiffened too to keep the truck handling correctly? And possibly add the coils to the front too. Hell after all that maybe just add the coilover front suspension and rear lift.
