Leveling kit suggestions

Hi all,

I have a 2007 SR5 4x4 and would like to simply (as much as possible) get a leveling kit to get rid of the factory rake. I'm fine with keeping the 265/65r17 tires and may do some mud but not frequently and value ride quality even more and not creating any ride/suspension issues. Any suggestions of brands and components for an easy way to level (spacers, shock/strut etc)? Any idea of parts cost and installation cost? I'm very uninformed but am trying to learn so thanks for any suggestions or experience you may have.

I will be getting new tires by the way.

I suggest to install a quick strut by KYB in the front and the corresponding rear shock. Look up RockAuto for prices.

KYB SR4130 Strut-Plus is what you want. It'll give you a slight increase in height in the front plus it's a all-in-one package with springs/strut/top hat already preassembled.

I installed the FJ Cruiser version on my 06' V6 but it was too high. I must have gained over 2.5" which made the front higher than the back on my vehicle. I contacted KYB and they said their spring rate is approximately 10-15% higher than stock (on both FJ/4Runner springs). My 4Runner rode very smooth on the road after. The FJ version is just a higher height overall.

Thanks! I'll take a look at that

I went with OEM takeoff assemblies that were from a new 4runner that someone lifted. They had the year I installed them stamped on so very little miles. This lifted the front of the old girl back up and I should never have to touch them again. The ride improvement was dramatic. Just needed to trim about a millimeter off the lower eyelet. Cheap easy swap plus I'm not a fan of aftermarket struts/springs.
