Leveling kits

what size spacer gets you a level 4runner?

I'm looking at the style that goes between the body and strut assembly, but I've seen 2", 2/5" and 3". What will get my 2wd sr5 level? I'm looking at these for the ease of install and it's only a road truck, but will give a better look.

it all depends on ur eye & what u think is level. some think 2 up front is too much without a rear lift, ( since running boards will not be level), others remove the RB & say 2.5 looks fine to them. id say, find level ground,take a measurement, jack up the front to where it looks good to u, measure again, then go with that. imo, 1.5 still keeps the RB level with out a rear lift, but if u do the front 2 in. or 2.5,& keep the boards, go with a 1 to 1.5 in. rear also.

well IMO, I have the toytec 1/2" spacer with the fj springs in my 04 SR5 V6 and she sits pretty dang level.

I never realized the running boards weren't level before... I need to look through the lift pict and find pics with the running boards on it and a leveling kit I guess.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this style spacer go in between the strut top and coil:

That's what I would guess from the looks of it anyways and I'd rather just put the spacer above the strut instead of pulling the springs out and all that garbage. If I'm doing that I'll just lift it.

After looking at the Daystar install instructions, it looks like they both bolt on above the strut assembly, but for the Daystar style you have to disassemble to fit longer studs on there, and the other style (6 hole) works more like an adapter at the same time as a 2" lift. I'd rather do that considering they serve the same purpose I think.
