I have noticed something about Buick...new platforms from GM rarely come out first in a Buick. You usually see it in a Chevy or Pontiac...then a year later, Buick gets its version of it. Have you guys noticed that? Could this explain why Buick has done so well?? Could it be that since Buick get its version 1-2 years later, most of the bugs have been worked out (thanks to their GM brand brothers) and thus the Buicks are more reliable????

The reason Buick is so reliable because the average buyer is:
- above the age 60
- drives under speed limit, accelerates very gently (takes 10 minutes to merge on the highway)
- does about a 3000 miles a year, never in the cold
- probably hearing impaired so they can't hear rattling noises from under or from the dashboard..

I am sure that there is more quality checkpoints and more quality stuff for a Buick vs. a Chevy. So, your rationalization of a Pontiac G6 being equal to a Buick is flawed.

More quality checkpoints for a Buick vs. a Chevy? That may have been true back in the old days when a Buick was thought of as an upscale version of a Chevy. But these days the General is taking quality as serious as cancer because it absolutely has to build in high quality if it wants to survive.
