life expectancy of GY Durtrac

So how many miles have these tires lasted on your rig all you DuraTrac owners?

I'm in between these and some A/T tires, because i'm mostly on the pavement i'd like to hear from the owners / past owners of the Duratracs.

The tread depth of new Duratracs are 18/32's. I just sold mine after 35k miles, and the tread depth was 14/32's.

I also put 70k miles on a set of BFG AT/KO's when I had my Jeep. They were worn but still useable.

I have put a couple thousand miles on mine and can barely tell. great tires.

sounds like they wear like A/T tires, but have the Mud terrain kind of grip, sweet!

I have a little over 20k on mine. They are wearing evenly. I'm expecting to get about 40k out of them.

wow these Dura tracs are even more pricey than the BFG's... Hope i get what i pay for... and why do all the you tube video's show people getting stuck in loose dirt with these things...?

Duratracs have gotten pricey;back in Oct. '09 when i bought my set I got them for around $860 out the door including road hazard certs now that same will cost me $1100 but skipping the certs will keep it under $990.

I've only got about 20kmiles on my Duratracs and with my truck only seeing 4000 miles a year I should replece them due to age before miles but hopefully I got another 4-5 years to worry about it.

I think RonMAIDEN meant he has 20,000 currently, not that they are worn out already.

I have had my duratracs for almost 10,000 miles and the tread depth looks good still. I haven't measured it recently though. And off-road mine have done all I have asked them to. There are better off-road tires out there but the whole idea with these is that they are a good middle ground between M/T and A/T.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

i'm pretty well sold on the DuraTrac's, just waiting for my cheap ass to shell out the dollars to get them on, i need to go price comparing and bargaining with my internet print outs, i even found a local good year dealer too! but need to work out prices still!
