Life of a super charger

So, how many miles could one expect these to last.
I did not want to post this on a classified listing, but is approching 100k miles a lot?
I know the rebuild would be expensive (not just a nose cone) and probably more then exceeds the difference in buying new.
Just curious, wouldnt want to pay a premium on something well past half life.

Also how does one tell if their engine has an egr system. The urd 7th does not work for those vehicles. My vehicle is 96 4runner 3.4, but with a 99 engine getting ready to be dropped in.

I think the public opinion is 60-90k intervals for SC rebuilds.

I don't even know how many miles were on mine when I bought it, but I did a full rebuild (bearings and seals) myself for maybe $200, so it's really not as bad as you think.

There are a couple other threads around here on rebuilds, just read them for part numbers and where to order and you'll be fine.

I have probably close to 90K on mine, it still sounds fine, but I am sure it needs rebuilt. Me and Coinball need to have a play date one weekend lol.....I have all the parts sitting in my garage

Just bring some cold beverages with you and you knock out the nose cone rebuild on the press.

Well that is encouraging.
I did a search previously and folks were hinting at a high risk for sc's of greater then 40k. I saw one person who bought used and sunk more than $1000 to get rotors recoated/machined?
Redoing bearings and seals would not be too much a big deal, but beyond that I would rather have new. New sc kits are $2600 and urd kits $800.

Dont know if you saw my listing, but I have one that had the nose cone replaced already, new bearings and seals. 12k miles ago. Also has the URD 7th kit and 2.2 pulley.

Thanks Jim, but I think with my 96 4runner I have egr, so 7'th is not recommended. How are the impellors holding up? Did you see wear on the mating parts?

GLWS, you should end up with a pretty good $/mile out of that upgrade to your vehicle!!
