Lift and tire size question?

Hello - I am new to this site. I have an 07 sport with Xreas. I would like to fit 33x12.5x17 MTs on my rig. I was considering 3/2 spacer lift with a 1" BL, does anyone know how much trimming I might have to do? Will I need wheel spacers? Any recommendations on a spacer lift that works with Xreas? I was thinking DS or Toytec. Last question, I am in MD and can't find a shop that will work with Xreas, anyone recommend a shop. I have probably called every shop within 100 miles of Baltimore. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

33x12.5 will require quite a bit of work. For a spacer lift, do a Toytec or Cornfed 3/2. I'd consider a 1.5"body lift as well. You will definitely need wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels to clear the uca. You'll have to remove the front mud flaps, trim the edge of the bumper, move the fender liner forward (and possibly trim it), do a body mount chop, and hammer down the pinch weld. That should have the front covered, not sure on the rear, I think you'll be fine, maybe remove the mud flaps. The more lift the less you'll need to trim, which is why I don't recommend the daystar 2.5/1.5 and mentioned the 1.5" body lift.

I am definitely doing after market wheels. Anyway I can get around the body mount chop? Can I run the spacer lift with FJ coils, to get more lift and help with the rubbing? Any recommendations on where to get the coils and which ones? The help is appreciated. Thanks

Anything 11.5" and wider will generally require the body mount chop. Those 12.5s, you'll definitely have to have it. you'll want to get the right offset on the wheels (not sure what offset you'll need), if you do you won't need wheel spacers. 3"is considered the limit to be safe on a suspension lift. You can get by with more, but run the risk of premature wear on parts and also not being able to get the alignment back in spec unless you add aftermarket ucas. So, I would not run fj coils on top of a 3/2 spacer lift. You could probably be safe doing it with the daystar kit though. Try fjcruiserforums.com for the coils if you choose to go that route. You'll want 07-11 4wd fj coils. The 10-11 coils have been reported to be a little beefier than the previous year models.
