Lift finely finished

Just recently was able to install the lift on my 05. The install went pretty smoothly minus the rear coils. The rears for some reason were a pita to get in. Total install took about 4.5 hrs with help.

Front:
Bilstein 5100's set at stock setting
Eibach/Toytec coils
SPC UCA's

Rear:
Fj springs
Bilstein 5100's

The rear seems a bit high compared to other fj set ups I have seen. I am also considering raising the front to the .85 setting to lvl it out some. Runs much smoother than the xreas on the pavement. Have not had a chance to take it off-road yet. Only issue I have is that the tire is rubbing when I turn right sometimes. Can not tell where it is rubbing as of yet. Hopefully an alignment will help with that. If my tire was an inch taller I would be rubbing on the UCA, so not sure how normal that is.

Did you use OEM FJ's springs or Moog/aftermarket? (for the rear)

Can you measure from the center of the wheel to the fender on the rear? Stock is around 21", just trying to see how much the rear is lifted. Also, can you post some pics of the rear coils?

I will measure when I get home. I am pretty sure they are stock oem fj coils. I got them free, so I am not sure of there history.

Those can't be stock FJ Coils in the back. Stock FJ coils rarely provide any lift at all and that thing is jacked. Looks good, but no way those are stock FJ Coils.

Do you have a body lift in the rear as well? Your truck looks insanely high for FJ coils. I know having smaller tires gives the wheel well a larger appearance but it looks like you have 4" back there.

Nope no body lift. Yeh I was overly surprised when I put the tires on. It kind of has me worried though because I don't want to overextend the 5100s.

OK so i was able to measure it from the middle of wheel to fender.

Front- 23"
Rear- Roughly 25.5"

That's crazy high for the rear with no body lift! Mine is 24.5 and I have Superflexes and a 1.5" Daystar spacer. Any pics of the coils?

My friend stated that they were Deaver's. They came off of his coworkers fj. I can not seem to find any info on the net other than Deaver leaf springs.

deaver made lift springs a while back but stopped selling them, i think they were 2" lift springs, also the lift will settle over the next few days.

I think Deaver does some custom coil springs. I remember seeing some 3" lift Deaver springs over on the FJ forum

I don't know if they're gonna be able to handle it or not. I know they're advertised for up to 2", but I'm sure I've seen 2.5" with them. To be safe, I'd go with longer ones.

I bet it's a super rough ride with it that high in the rear. I initially installed the HD Coils from Toytec in the rear of mine and even going over speed bumps was bad. I eventually swapped them for the regular coils and the difference was night and day. Hopefully your back end settles down a bit.

Surprisingly it isn't that bad.I dont notice much difference from stock. Im kind of torn though. I dont know if I should swap the coils out for smaller ones and keep the 5100s, or buy longer travel shocks. I dont know if it will settle any because the springs are used.
