Lift gate model year compatibility?

I have an 03' SR5 V8 4x4 and I need to replace the lift gate. Can anyone tell me what years are compatible? I'm assuming 03'-05' for sure but I know there were cosmetic tweaks in 06' and am not sure if the rear had any changes.

I have an 03 that had the tailgate replaced with an 06 after a hit and run in a parking lot. So I would think any year should work for you just watch out for the third brake light or spoiler on the hatch can require some quick easily done mods.

Only changes to the rear in 06 were led taillights, and the bumper cover.

liftgate motor is the same between 03-09
