Lift help

So I bought this 89 4runner about 4 months ago the guy I bought it from claimed it has a 6" lift, I'm no expert​ on lifts but the rear is up higher then the front, making it look very bro ish, I would prefer to level it out. Need help identify what lift has been put on it and if I could get a picture of what a stock springs and such on a truck looks like it would help. And what can be done to level it out. If anything

We need to see the mounting point of the axle and leaf springs. Are there blocks under the leafs, how about the shackles and body mounting. Is there a body lift?
Lets see pictures of the front end. Need to see if there are upper ball joint spacers and a diff lowering brackets.

looks like someone had a set of stock springs re-arched.
get a set of smaller lift springs like OME or something

Can't say for sure they are stock re-arched just looks like it.
OME is old man emu, sold or imported through ARB if I recall correctly.

You can drop the rear by replacing the aftermarket shackles with stock. How does it ride?

It is a bracket lift kit, and the angles of the front end are better than stock, so he might have turned down the torsion bars for less lift and more travel.

The easiest route would be to adjust the front torsion bars to close to factory angles, which would easily be two inches higher in front ride height. Cannot explain why they are adjusted down, perhaps alignment issues or a ride quality thing, but the lower control arms don't usually sit that flat.

Google "4runner rough country bracket lift" and look at the first two images. That control arm angle (and cv angle) is closer to stock, and it probably a few inches higher in the front end than what you are dealing with. This won't be "cranking" the bars, as you are currently sitting lower than the bars are normally adjusted from the factory.
