Lift installed: Pics inside

Econ's Official 4runner Thread

I installed the OME 881/906 lift last week. I used OME's shocks as well. I am really happy with the way it came out. The ride is definitely firm, but it is more stable than before. On road is a little "bumpy", but off road is a dream. It is SO much better than before.

I haven't done any measurements, but that was my understanding. I think these are 1" taller than the '99 tall springs.

thought those mountains looked familiar! Tooele right? its good to see another utah member! nice lookin rig we'll have to go weelin some time!

looks great but take the running boards off!!!

There it is...

I'm actually surprised that I got 14 posts into this thread before someone made the "ditch the running boards!" comment. I'm still on the fence here. The wife uses them, and I don't know if I mind them that much. However, when running a trail a few months ago, I came millimeters away from munching the driver's side running board, and was almost forced to make the decision. Luckily, I spotted the potential impact, and chose a different line. Someday a nice set of sliders will take the place of the running boards, but until that day, I think the boards will stay.

So im kinda new to the forum and i want to ask a few quick questions if you guys dont mind. I was looking at all the 3rd gen lift info and i am a little confused. I love the look of this 4runner its the look i am goign to go for when i lift mine i am just doing a little research befor ei decide to pull the trigger. I am thinking of going the OME way but when i look at the set up that econ did it looked to me like he did the 881 2.5" lift coil for the front and 906 2" lift coil in the rear. Am i reading this right or am i missing something, wouldnt that make the front higher then the back. ???. could someone please explain. Do i need to do a diff drop for this setup? Also what is the best price around for this setup i found what i beleve to be it on a website for $699 +$100 to build the fronts. Thanks for all your help in advance.
