Lift kits Truxx Vs Toyota

Does anyone have an opinion of the Truxx lift or the Toyota lift?

I was at my local stealer today, they quoted me $1099 installed for a 2 3/4 inch front and 2 1/4 rear lift which would be valid with the drive train warranty

Vs

I next went to my local Big O tire store - they quoted me $500 for basically the same thing but made by Truxx

I need to add a bit of height because I am planning to add larger tires to my ride

I have owned a lot of 4x trucks, but never lifted one, and honestly I am not a fan of lifts

anyone want to chime in with quality advice

just bought a set of 4 x 17 x 7.5 toyota tundra rims today for $300 and I am planning on putting Discoverer STTs or similar on them - specifically for off road fun

What kind of lift did the stealer offer you? A toyota lift? Never knew toyota made a lift other than what they put on the TRD package trucks.

Toyota lift kit

The parts guy claimed it was theirs and they warranted it for the drive line - I am sure toyota buys it from someone

It was like 2 3/4 in the front and 2 1/4 in the rear for $1099, parts, labor and re-alignment

i have a buddy with a 3rd gen with over 250k miles and the thing is rock solid - so I am not sure I now beleive that toyota warranty issues are something to worry about

anyone with any knowledge of the big o lift????

Go with the OLD MAN EMU Lift ....Seriously //Sounds like they are trying to sell you a spacer lifet which is only about 250.00 and about the same to install plus 80.00 for align...For 700.00 from OME you get New springs and shocks made for your specific needs and can have your local shop put it in for about 400.00
It is a better way to go .
