Lift & Leveling kit Holiday Season Sale!

Newbie

Hello to all, I am new to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself. This weekend I purchased my first 4runner, 2018 trd off road package. Tonight I ordered a 2/1 lift through Burtman Industries(Jason was super helpful). I currently have XD827 Rockstar3's and Duratrac 285/70r17's in my cart, considering purchase. Just wanted some feedback from seasoned veterans. Any advice for a newbie? Thanks in advance.

I called Burtman Industries and spoke with Jason today and he gave me a great deal on the 1.5/1” kit for my Pro for the Christmas season. Following forum member Tejas’s setup on same color Pro. I already have 275 KO2’s. He said to call or text him at 717-319-2100 for prices as he's been busy lately to post the deals. Will post pics after install.
 
Got 2/2” after talking to Jason back in November. Very helpful and great customer service.

Rides like stock TRD pro suspension. Been on the trails almost every weekend since we got the lift and we have no issues.

The alignment place did say that they were barely able to do a proper alignment with the stock UCAs. Good thing we didn’t go higher. Haven’t had to go back since the truck is still in alignment.

Will probably keep it this way until we upgrade the suspension. The stock Nitto 265s looked dinky after the lift so we upgraded to 285s. With a Gobi and recovery boards on top, we barely fit in our garage with a 7’ entrance.

Been doing my homework for the last 2 week since purchasing a 2019 LE and so glad I came across this thread. Thinking of doing what undefinedera did here, except I'll be putting 275/55/20 KO2's on the stock rims. Don't think that will be an issue, but how can I place the custom order?

Anyone run into any issues with their ball joints after installing a spacer lift on their 4Runner? I had a 2" front spacer on my FJ and the ball joints were toast after about 50k.
 
I just bought a 2019 Off Road Premium with the XP package. I’ve got to get rid of the front take. The dealer offers a level kit at 3” front and 1” rear at $1300 installed. I keep telling them that I don’t want that much lift, I drive on the beach that’s it. I wonder if I can have them install the 1” front spacer and them warranty it?

Maybe? Doesn’t hurt to ask.

If I were you, I would actually ask them if they can do this:
Install Bilstein 5100’s front and back, set front at 1.75”
1” cornfed spacer back

A very popular combination if you search here on the forums, and the parts should only run you $4-500

Apologies in advance, noob here. Great looking truck, looking to do the same with mine (2018 TRDOR w/KDSS).

Just for clarification, when you say "cornfed 2/1", are you referring to Burtman Industries spacer (http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoomprod.php?id=4run_03_up_liftkit) or something else, such as this: 5th Gen 4Runner Full lift kits. Or is that the same thing?

This is what I'm currently "on the fence" about. Get a 2/1 spacer *or* get Bilsteins at 1.75 and 1" spacer in the rear. I figure if the install cost is similar enough, the higher part cost might be worth it to eliminate the nose dive.

Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated!

Sweet, sweet setup! Just seeing this now. Yep, that's the close to max with stock setup on a PRO MODEL, can do a 2.25" front and that's the limit on stock UCA :)

Everyone else, GIVE ME A CALL or a text 717-319-2100 and I'll see what I can do. Have a few more deals left I think.
 
Do I need this kit?

I'm about to lift/level out my 2016 Trail and was wondering if I needed to buy something like this kit to level out my rig? Sorry if this question doesn't belong here -- I've been sifting through tons of threads and this is probably a good place to start ?

I have have ordered the following (Bilsteins are on backorder):

As per the Bilstein Install Instructions for 4x4 Non-KDSS Models, to get a 2" Lift, I'm setting:
* Driver Side Circlip at Position #6 and
* Passenger Side Circlip at Position #4

Rear: Bilstein 5160's + Dobinson C59-599 Coil

* As per the Dobinson thread, the C59-599 will give a 1" to 1.25" lift in the rear "keeps rear end low, allowing to help level the vehicle rake with 2" front lift"

Currently, the driver side is exactly .25" lower than the passenger side -- both front and rear

* With the Bilstein settings (#6 Driver and #4 Passenger), will that pretty much correct the lean?
* Since it's only .25" lean, should I set the Passenger Circlip at #5 instead of #4?
* Should I even worry about the .25" lean and set both front Circlips at #6?

Mine has Bilstein 5100 all the way around Cornfed 3/4 spacer in rear

Just got off the phone with Jason! Amazing customer service! Spacers should be here early next week! 2"/1.5.

If you have any questions about anything, he's super knowledgeable! Super happy so far. Can't wait to get them in!
