Lift my Runner!

Ok I have read the lift FAQ thread at least 3 times now and am still confused.

I have a 1999 SR5 Sport currently sitting on 265/70/16's street radials. I am wanting to fit some 285/75/16's that I have currently mounted up on my Chevy truck.

Here's what I "think" I need to do.

Front
Tundra TRD front strut assy ( I may be able to get some for free)
Diff Drop

Rear
OME906 Coil Spring
Stock Land Cruiser shocks (i can get these NEW for 25 each)

I don't really plan to wheel the truck, it is my 2nd ride (I ride a motorcycle about 90% of the time), other than a trip to the beach head every once in a while. I am not afraid to cut if I need to prevent rubbing. So let me have it. Does this sound like a good setup? Am I going to destroy my fenders or tires with the 285's? Should I add a 1" top plate spacer to the front?

I'd go with OME 890's instead of the 906's if you get the top plate spacer up front. Also it would be advisable to get the top plate spacer or Tundra Bilstein 5100 if you want to run 285's. The LC shocks might be too long for the 906's as well. Other than that it sounds good.

Toytec/eibach springs with the 5100 bilsteins up front. LC coils with LC monroe shocks out back. Great budget lift that rides as good as stock.

Can I run the Eibach/Toytech springs on the Tundra coils? The reason I ask is I know I need some pieces from the Tundra strut assy to bolt up to my Runner and getting a used assembly would be almost free. Is this correct? Or can I just buy the Toytech coils, some Bilstein 5100's for a Tundra and bolt it up to my Runner with the stock top plate? I am leaning towards the Tundra struts simply because I can get them for free or for 100 bucks a set. I can get bilstein shocks for the Tundra strut assy for about 50 bucks each from the local parts house.

I'd run the free Tundra Struts and just add some Toytec Top plate spacer to cap off the front lift. They are only about 50 or 60 bux!

For the rear, if you're looking for a choppy ride, get the 890's, if you want a smoother ride, get some Lc 7.5 or 8 wrap coils. You will most likely have some rake, but at least it won't be sagging in the back, and when you do load it, it will sit level.

Go with the Tundra TRD coils and Tundra 5100, since you can get them for cheap. The back just depends on how much rake you want and ride quality. The 906's aren't very soft, but people really like the 890's. Obviously LC coils are the best ride, but they lift the back a lot and sag .5-1.5" under load. You can PM PBColt as he has Tundra coils/5100 and 890's. He really likes the ride and it's his DD.
