Lift Options for towing?

Hello, I am new to 4-runer.org and wanted to inquire about some lifting options and some thoughts and advice from those who have gone before...

I have a 1998 4runner SR5 4x4 and am looking to do a little lift, but with the sole purpose of stiffening up the rear end for some heavier loads (gear and bikes) and then also for towing a smaller camper (<4000lbs). I was looking at the 891 coils as an option for about a 3inch lift and b/c of the simplicity and cost factor. i am not absolutely sold on 3inch of lift, i am cool with 1.5 or 2.5 or something around there too, i have just read over and over that the 891 springs are the stiffest and provide the best option for towing and carrying more (and i think 3 inch looks pretty slick and also allows me to still salvage some of the gas mileage too). also, i don't know if there is an 891 equivalent for the front, but any advice for what i would need to run up front for matching the rear lift would be greatly appreciated too!

Anyways, any recommendations for a solid spring that solves the sag issues and then also stiffens everything up for carrying extra gear and towing would be great.

Same problems

I actually have the same issues and looking for the same advice. I want to do light lift/level but I do pull 4000lbs. boat quite often and sometimes for long distances (3hr drives). I have 2014 TE without KDSS

I have done some very initial research and found out the following. Can anyone confirm/evaluate my thought process/choices? Which one will be the best

a) Bilstein 5100s all around with stock front and Toytec "Superflex" heavy dutey rear coils

b) Bilstein 5100s - OME883 front - Toytec "Superflex" heavy dutey rear coils

c) Bilstein 5100s - OME883 front - Sway-a-way 1.5"

Right now, handling with the 4000lbs boat trailer is very decent and I do not want that to change with my new level/lift. I drive long ways and it would not be worth it. Any suggestions with what I should go? I am under budget but if you guys think that saving up for Toytec BOSS will yield better results I am all for it.

I'd be interested in something like this. I just got a camper that's about 2.5k lbs and I noticed the rear sagging much more (over 2").
You know a shop I chandler, az area thatdeals with suspension upgrades?
