throw on that ultimente toytec lift! go big or go homearty:
Had the Ultimate kit on my Tacoma at first and removed it after 6 months. Ride was too stiff and it kept blowing CV boots. I did have it adjusted a bit higher than the stock setting which I suppose was too much. That kit got replaced with a 4.5' RCD kit which was AWESOME in ride and functionality. This time I just want my lift to be simple. Just aggressive looking W/O killing my MPG. I'm looking into Toytec now but still considering all other options. Toytec actually features my tacoma in their catalogue for their Ultimate Lift Kit.

I did the toytec spacer lift to fit bigger, aggressive tires. My off-roading mainly consists of beach driving, so it does the job well. If you are going to do serious off-roading go with adjustable shocks, better springs, UCA's, etc.
That is the exact type of driving I'm doing most of.

I installed bilstein 5100 up front set to the 2nd to the last setting which is suppose to be 1.75, last setting is 2.5 which I used in my tacoma but it got really loose on the highway and slight wind would blow it off. I kept my rear stocks but it seems a tad bit lower than the front. I have 285/70/17s and I think the .85 setting may a be the best leveling option if you keep the rear at stock height however with the 285s at .85 setting may be just a tad to lower for the size of the tire. I am still contemplating on keeping the 1.75 or going down to .85, another option would be adding a 1.5 toytec spacer in the rear. so much to think about

I don't think anyone has used the Toytec 1.5 rear spacers because they cost almost twice as much as the Daystars and do the exact same thing. There's nothing high tech about a rear coil spacer and a bunch of companys make them.You already asked before and robotkiller gave you the link to the Daystars and people on the forum have them on already.

thanks harper, I was unsure about the daystar one since the link says it will not fit my 2011 4runner. did a bit of search and found theyre the same with the fj :thanks:
I think this is the option I'm looking at the heaviest. Any of you guys with this setup have any pics?

I got the Toytec rear spacers since I bought the 2" front spacer from them...adding them together dropped the total price so I am happy 
Ride is good...no noticeable change.

Easiest and cheapest lift for the 5th Gens. This is the whole 2.5/1.5 kit from Daystar(of which I'm in no way affiliated) I bought Toytec too when I first got my Limited because I didn't know then. Daystar KT09115BK at AutoAnything
Especially if you have a Limited because of the supplied bolt extensions for the top plate so you don't have to compress the front springs.

Hey Harper,
Just want to be sure you are recommending this Daystar kit for us LE owners who want a simple leveling kit, and as little hassle as possible?? Will a dealership install these? I have a new 2011 LE, and sure don't want to have/create issues..

I am thinking of purchasing the Daystar kit. How would this look with a stock size tire? I just purchased some Yoko Geolander ATS's and do not want to replace them already.
