This has been my dream truck since i came home from Iraq, I ended up getting a 94 T4R, and i drove it for about a year!!!
Thats when i found Yotatech!! thought that sight was the greatest ever!! Few months later, I bought my ex wife a 2006 T4R sport and then i wanted a new to me one as well...2 weeks later i bought my 02 T4R sport, 2 wks later it was on 33 w/ the BEGINNERS lift kit from toytec....SPACERS :biggrin2:!! quickly i noticed this wasnt what i wanted but i was going through some serious issues with PTSD, crazy BIAAATCH EXwife, severe depression, and a bad drug habit. I ended up losing it ALL, i had tried to keep my 4Runner by giving here enough money to make payments on it for 6 months. Then she found out i had a speeding ticket!!!:lookout:
SO while i was in court she came to the court house knowing i wouldnt miss it, drove my 4Runner away and SOLD IT!!! LONG STORY SHORT: made dumb mistake when got truck, cheaper payments so didnt put my name on title, she got pissed, Knew my 4runner was everything to me, and she TOOK IT!!! Along with my 8 month Old Pitbull, Oakley. He wasnt in the 4Runner LOL, she got him a few months prior, when she aquired my Glock 23 and Springfield XD, when she filled for a EPO!!
2 Years of blank (BAD HABITS), 2 Years 4 months 6 days later of sobriety i am here now!! Long Story i meet a woman who has really helped me in many ways i owe my life to here because she....helped me win the war within myself and got me going to the VA, going to a rehab and a PTSD Clinic, because of her and her 2 wonderful children i changed my entire life; Since, i have been going to the Va i had filled for disability, i was awarded a few months ago with a small sum of money and was able to purchase my 4runner!!! I searched and searched for the 4runner i have now, finally found it, in Cleveland Ohio, 7hours away from my house i rented a vehicle and headed that way. The pictures WERE great and the interior looks really good, cosmetically a nice 4Runner, mechanically it has gave me absolute FIGHTS!!!!! I dont know why i am throwing all this out here but, take it as u want too. Since i have been sober i have given up ALL the friends i had because they all USED, so for 2 Years 4 months 6 days this website has been my best friend checking out everyones vehicles and dreaming i could do that some day....LOL
WHen i first bought it i started doing mods:
first i replace the air filter with a K&N and deckplate mod, ISR mod, Silverstar Ultras, ALL weather Mats (best 20 bucks ever at walmart), replaced factory cd player with Sony,then took it to a shop and had throttle body cleaned! BAD IDEAL, A DUMBY worked there and ran my engine around 5gs RPM for about 4 minutes!!! Then i had to replace: Plugs & wires (i could put 2 nickels in the gap on the plug & wires were blue due to electical burn), catalytic converter (he blew the middle out of it), replace exhaust with a MagnaFLO (due to softball size hole in it), bought a set of 265/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs, painted all emblems black and replace the TOYOTA emblem with a TRD emblem (gained all kinds of HP then), with the help of my 3 year old daughter i painted my wheels Blk and threw some TRD emblems on them (oh yeah, it got faster!) I didnt like the woodgrain, so i painted all of that blk, got a Rollbar out of a 85, replaced shocks temporary Monroe (they SUCK)
SOOO after some very long days and nights, the day has came:They have sent me another backpay due to an increase in my disability...SO what else is a guy to do MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD..........in my case so FAR its been REPLACE BREAK REPLACE REPLACE REPLACE THROW WRENCH GIVE UP BREAK SOMETHING REPLACE!!!! and that has just been the past 2 days lol
