Lift Question

I've searched and searched and I can't find a strait answer. Can I use 2000-2006 tundra trd 4x4 shocks all the way around (Oem not bilstein) with Ome 883 up front 890 rear? I'm planning to do this temporarily until I get the Ome shocks.


Seems like the tundra bilstein 4600 is a factory replacement and I've seen people use them with Ome 883 (I think) why should factories be different?

I'm trying to get info about this too. Im interested in purchasing 2005 tundra shocks/springs. Does anyone know if they will work on my 97 4runner without any hassle?

EDIT: I believe those shocks you mentioned aren't TRD because tundra TRD shocks are bilstein. Correct me if I'm wrong.

For the fronts yes i believe you can use the tundra shock. The rear however you want a longer travel shock than the tundra unit i would think.

when my buddy and i went to pull springs from a junk yard we found the exact ones in an extended cab tundra that was 4wd but not trd labeled, it also didnt have bilsteins. ive ridden them on the first second and third perch, the third perch is not comfortable because it basically preloads the spring. if you want more lift, I suggest running on the bottom perch and using a top plate spacer, and limit straps. this will give you the most flex, softest ride, as much lift as you want, and prevent you from breaking cv joints.
