Lift question

Ok. So I had considered doing a sas but due to the wife not liking how much it would cost have reconsidered (happy wife happy life) and am now looking at different lifts. I have looked at the lift section and have narrowed it down to a couple different ones. I am looking at an icon full suspension lift (not sure which stage I would do yet) or perhaps one of the toytec lifts, the ultimate, the boss, or the radflo complete with extended travel front coilovers? I know these are different lifts but would like some feedback on which might be better in the long run. I am currently in negotiations with my wife on my budget for the lift haha. thank you for any help.

Hey Man,

I just did an ICON stage 2 lift (coilovers, total chaos UCAs, 2" icon coils, 2.5 remote resi shocks in the rear) on my 08 Sport.
I cant say much on longevity, due to the fact the lift is pretty new, but other members on the forum say good things about ICON.

But Ive done 500 miles on the suspension and thus far and love it, a little bit stiffer than stock but awesome on the trails! Im sure the suspension will break in over the next few months.

Personally if your gonna spend the money on a lift and want a quality set up I'd go with anything that has real coil-overs the bilsteins are nice but if I were to do it again I wouldn't have wasted the money on inferior parts.

I agree with [MENTION=95853]toy4xchris[/MENTION] I have the Bilsteins, and they are good, but if you want a great suspension setup go with the better coilovers. Icon makes a great setup from everything I've ever read, so no worries there. Since you were wanting a SAS I'd go with a long travel rear as a minimum and then a good stage 2 or better for the front. Long Travel for the front would be great, but will cost close to the same as a SAS by the time you're done depending on specific setup, wants, needs, etc. The LT would have better road characteristics than a SAS though. Whichever you decide, make sure you take tons of pics and make yourself a build thread! Good luck man, it's a fine line keeping the wife happy and getting the kit you'd like.

Toytec ultimate and 17's with 33" tires, if I could do it over I would probably save a few more pennies and buy an icon or radflo setup. Get the setup you want the first time even if you have to wait/save a little more.
