Lift Springs - 884s vs 885s

Believe me when I say I've searched, but I haven't really seen any definitive answers on this one.

I have the V6 and I'm trying to decide between 884s or 885s in the front (matched with Superflex in the rear) but I really haven't seen anyone report back on how much lift the 884s and 885s actually gave them and/or how stiff the 885 vs 884 is. I'm looking for around a (leveled) 2-2.5" lift because I don't want to swap out the UCAs quite yet. I'll have 5100s all the way around, so I can adjust the front if needed, but I'd like to keep the entire lift based on the springs.

I have a v6 and I put 885s on the front. The only extra front weight I have is a grill guard (~50lbs).

I have the top spacer on my kit so all in all I got about 4 inches. It's stiffer than stock but not uncomfortable.

What size spacer? I don't mind stiff, you should ride around in my Tacoma with the 9 year old offroad springs. That thing is stiff.

If you only want 2-2.5" lift, go with the 884's. I have the 885's (no spacer, 5100's set at the lowest setting) and I got about 3".

The 884's and 885's have the same spring rate, just the 885's are 10mm longer (20mm of lift).

If the spring rates are the same and I can get 3 in the front, that might work. I just don't feel like throwing UCAs on quite yet even if it is in the future at some point. This is going to be my daily still for awhile until I feel like selling the Tacoma and picking up a commuter, so it still needs to be semi-comfortable for my son.

What size spacer? I don't mind stiff, you should ride around in my Tacoma with the 9 year old offroad springs. That thing is stiff.

It's the top spacer sold by Toytec Lifts to go along with the 3" OME lift they sell. It's a .5 inch spacer but it adds about an inch lift (assuming you don't have a v8 or custom bumper).

LOL - it will ride like a dream compared to a 9 year old TACO.

I put my lift on about 8 months ago and I have not replaced my UCA's yet. I probably will in the next 6 months, but it has not been necessary with the 885s.
