Lift Thread Questions

Does anyone have a 3" lift with 265/65/18 pictures? I like the look of the daystar 2.5/1.5 with the 265/65/18. Any recomendations or links to pictures? I'm trying to prevent wheel spacers so i wont have rubbing issues to deal with. I also rather not have spacers if possible.

P.S. ive seen some lifted 4runners in central NJ/mercer county. Are you guys here on the fourm?

if you mean not wanting spacers for lift, you can get new coils,(OME or FJ) reuse ur stock shocks, get the whole OME setup, bilstein adj. shocks & reuse ur stock coils, or just get something like the toytec ultimate 3 in. kit it has adj. coilovers , that way u can change height if need be, as u know wheel spacers with stock rims will cause rubbing but thats a simple & easy fix, (check JAs trim thread) its almost unnocticable. check this thread on lifts & pics. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/51742-lift-tire-central-pics-post-em-up.html http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=72&Itemid=72

I thought people were putting spacers on to prevent rubbing. I'm trying to find out what size tire i can put on my 18" stock rims having to trim. I'm torn on putting on spacers vs. new coils and shocks. I think a 3" lift may be a bit more than i want. What would be the largest size tire i could install if i had a 3" lift with out any rubbing issues?

His 4R is sort of the inspiration for my build except I'm going to have to wait a while for the T/A KO's because mine came with new long trails (unless I can find a good deal on them), I'm planning to powdercoat rims black because I have black runningboards and roof rack and next week I'm putting on Steelcraft bullbar with offroad lights instead of front skid.

use of wheel spacers will cause rubbing on inner plastic fender & bumper. i suggested the bilstein adj. height shocks instead of lifting spacers, that way u can change the front at will. stock height & slightly above,(1-2 in. lift) 32 in. tall tires are the biggest u can use on stock rims, 33s will require much more trimming.

With a 3" lift you will be able to fit 265/65/18 with no modifications or spacers.

I wish i could find pictures of ProMeds truck again. I did see Hojeepster and his is nice looking. I just wanted to see if anyone has those tire sizes with a 3" lift. If i got with a 3" vs a 2.5/1.5 daystar can i install tires larger than 265/65/18 with out rubbing?

I guess i could squeeze in 275/65/18 with a 2.5/1.5. I trying to decide between a 3" ome, toytec coilover package or 2.5/1.5 spacers.
