Lift vs ride height list

Going for some aftermarket springs so I can set 5100 at 0.

Heights:
Front: 23"
Rear: 24"

Suspension:
Front: Bilstein 5100 (set at 0") + OME 2884
Rear: Bilstein 5100 + OME 2895E

Waiting to see if there are going to be sagging...

With adjustable coilovers its pointless to compare.

With a non-adjustable setup it is slightly more relevant only if a noob wants to compare numbers to see if they installed it correctly.

Most seem to measure the distance from ground to fender.
Tire size will make this different.
Hence the true measure of a suspension lift would be from axle center to fender and the point of this thread.

We are all a NOOB the first time at anything...

As I'm sure you have seen, many new owners wanting to do a lift are unsure what kind of lift heights they can expect from certain combinations of suspension components and vehicle configurations. This thread attempts to consolidate this info into one place and prevent new thread duplication.

I found it useful (first time around) what route I wanted to take. I wanted a more mild lift and didn't want to look like I skipped leg day with stock tire size. I also refused to use the adjustment option on the Billy 5100, wanted a spring lift for the front. (and adjustable coilovers weren't in the budget)

Noob needed help finding something other than the standard 3/2" lift

Times have changed, now rocking 285s and a 3/2" lift

my measurements

2009 SR5 4runner

addional weight- demello 3 hoop front bumper NO winch (approx 120lbs)

Front lift- OME 885 coils with 3/8" top out spacer back both sides, drivers side also has 5mm trim packer, nitrocharger 90021 shocks

rear lift- toytec superflex 2" coils with fox 2.0 performance series shocks for 2-3" lift

BFG KO2's 255/75R17 measured 31" height front 2, 31 1/4" height rear 2 with 36 psi in all 4

hub to fender measurements:

DF--23 7/8"
PF--24 1/4"

DR--24"
PR--24 3/8"

ground to fender measurements:

DF--38 5/8"
PF--39 3/8"

DR--38 11/16"
PR--39 3/8"

as you can see more or less even front to back, but there is a good drivers side lean. Mind you this is with a full tank of gas. I'll measure with an empty tank soon for comparison

Toytec coil spacer/rear coils lift

Anybody running the toytec 3” coil spacer/rear coils lift? And if so what are the measurements? I read through and I don’t think I saw anybody with this specific lift.

Ironman 4x4 (they advertise 2” on their website) nitro gas 0-660lbs . The kit came with optional spacers for the front that I took advantage of since I’ll be running a metal bumper and winch later (I don’t recall the height of spacers,but it was less than 1”)

Full tank of gas btw and it’s been two weeks since install. There is no added weight at the moment.

Driver/Passenger front: 23.25/24
Driver /Passenger rear: 23/24

2004 Limited 4x4 V8 leveled with Bilstein 5100 and 5th gen TE springs

2004 Limited 4x4 V8 with rear air suspension, which I had removed using the Metal Tech 4x4 kit.

Original ride height: LF 18.75", RF 19.25", LR 21.5", RR 21.25"

New ride height: LF 20, RF 20.5, LR 21.5, RR 21.5"

Total lift: 1.25" F / 0 R

Suspension: Bilstein 5100 (second-lowest setting) and 5th gen TE springs.

This basically levels the vehicle, but it should be enough for 32" tires (255/75R17). No armor or other extra weight except some ARB skid plates.

Mine will be off since I measured on my inclined driveway but -

Dobinsons C59-314/GS59-221 Front, C59-505/GS59-705 Rear.

23.5" all the way around - but I was JUST able to accomplish this today. The rear required BOTH a Daystar 1.5" FJ spacers AND a Dobinsons 15mm spacer...

Had the 15mm on and it was about an inch off, the 1.5" still was missing .5" but both gets me pretty dead on with the passenger rear which is WILD to me lol.

Anyone have any Cornfed 3/2 measurements???

My saggy springs are not the greatest at 160k miles but with the cornfed 3 rear and 2 front lift:
Front: 21.75
Rear: 22.5

So if I get some bilsteins and toytec springs I should be seeing about a 2 inch gain front and back OVER what I have with my "3/2" spacer lift.

2004 Limited V8 4WD, roof rack and 2 ~heavy amplifiers in the rear cargo area are the only real extra weight. Spare on roof rack.

Lift: Daystar 2.5” front/1.5” rear spacer lift, 1” Toytec body lift.

Center of wheel to fender:

Driver side front: 22.75”
Passenger side front: 23.00”
Driver side rear: 23.00”
Passenger side rear: 23.00”

Stock 2005 V8 with 150k miles. Would this be considered sagging?

Are people using diff drop kits to protect your CVs when lifting over 3 inches? Or does an aftermarket upper control arm help with this? Newb questions.

My 16 year old stock rear coils must have been really tired.

I just upgraded my rear today from the Daystar 1.5” spacer lift to the Bilstein 5100/Toytec coils 2” shock/spring lift, and my left and right rear measurements have both gone from 23” to 25”. I was expecting a half inch increase, not two inches!

Has anyone else had similar results?

I will also be ugrading my front from the Daystar 2.5” spacer lift to the Bilstein 5100/Toytec shock/coilover 3” lift. I wonder if I’ll get a 2” difference in the front, too.

I also wonder if the upgraded front will lower the rear a little. Right now, with just the new rear suspension installed, there is a 2.5” (?) rake. At ~23” all around, my 4R was basically level. Now, it’s at 22.5” in the front and 25” in the rear.

The rear lift has lowered the front a little, but my 4R is parked on a little downslope, so maybe it’s a little lower due to that.

UPDATE: I took measurements with my T4R on level ground. The rear went down ~.25” and the front went up ~.25”, so I’m still at ~2” rake.

What notch did you put your front 5100s at? I am about to put Toytec springs over my Bilsteins. Do you like how it looks and rides?
