Lift vs ride height list

What notch did you put your front 5100s at? I am about to put Toytec springs over my Bilsteins. Do you like how it looks and rides?

I bought the struts pre-assembled by Toytec at a 2.5” lift. I just went out to look, and I saw three rings on the shock bodies. I assume that means my shocks are at the lowest setting. I hope that’s the setting for the most lift, not the least!

I like how it looks. It’s not a huge difference from my Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer setup, but the difference in the rear is noticeable because of my worn out old springs.

I haven’t driven on the new suspension yet, so I won’t know for a while. I went with the 5100s because I don’t do enough off-roading to justify the 6112/5160s. I’m also going to install higher caster UCAs, put the front sway bar back on, and get an alignment done before I drive it.

Fox 2.5 F/R with Icon Dual Rate 3" Coil

22.25" Front
23.5" Rear
Fox 2.5 w/DSC and 650# Spring supporting a Pelfrey Steel Bumper with Warn Winch.
Fox 2.5" w/DSC rear with Icon Dual Rate 3" Coils and a 10mm shim on Driver side.

I am curious about stock height. I will go dig through this thread to see if anyone has posted.

2005 v6 4WD

Before:
DSF/PSF 18 4/8" / 19 1/8"
DSR/PSR Forgot to measure

After:
DSF/PSF 21 6/8" / 22 1/8"
DSR/PSR 22 6/8" / 22 7/8"

I think my old suspension must have been really sagged because it looks like I got 3" or more, but the numbers I have other people achieved with 2" lift kits. Actually, I originally got 4", but after 20 miles of driving and an alignment and settling, it lost about an inch.

Bilstein 5100s all the way 'round with the front on the lowest setting. Wheeler's T1s up front and Bilstein springs in the rear, with lean correction spacers both up front and in the rear.

What's good guys , I am a new-b here from So Cal .. I own an 06 V6 4runner I put together with various parts for a budget build all bought off Offerup.. not kidding .. everything from the truck itself, to Toyota 2013 touch screen stereo mod, yakima roof rack , nerf steps, to led headlights and rigid armor swing down tire mount all sourced on offerup.

But back to topic... I really like the lift so far but it's bugging me a lil because it's not completely even/level. Here are my current parts and specs;

Front: 4x4 2022 Taco TRD shocks with KSP 1" Leveling kit/spacer

Rear: 5100 bilstein with shock spacer and unknown springs from an 07 FJ "not stock". I think the springs are 1.5" or 2" springs.

After install:
front L/R, 24" from hub to fender.

Rear L/R, 23" from hub to feder

I really want to level the rear to match the front. Anyone have suggestions? From what I could tell from reading this thread, people are going with the toytec rear springs to achieve 24 inches. Is this the best route to level the truck? Maybe rear spacers? I would appreciate any advice..

IMO, remove that front spacer, it's not doing your ride quality any favors, and you've somehow got 5" of lift up front that's probably not helping your CV life. If you absolutely must lift the rear, a 1" spacer would do it, but be ready to lose some ride quality as it'll top out even easier in the rear.

To contribute my own data: bone stock mostly empty 2005 V8 4x4 truck, with OME 885/895 springs front/rear, riding on the stiff OME shocks, the only weight in the truck was 20lbs of backpack in the front passenger seat and about 150lbs of plywood/cooler/tools as far to the right/rear of the cargo area as possible.

Front, 22" both left right
Rear, 23.5" both left/right

I like the way this combo drives on the street and slow trails, but haven't tested it on fire roads or deserts or anything at speed yet. If I dislike the control, I'll move to Bilstein 6112's and 5160's, likely on the Bilstein springs for those shocks.
