Anyone know if a suspension lift kit for '90 4runner fit a '89

The front will fit, the rear will not.

All 86-95 front IFS are the same

84-89 Rears are leaf sprung, 90-95 rear ends are coil spring/ 4 link with a panhard bar.

I thought the 2nd gens rear are 3-link w/ panhard? I think the idea of a 4 link is that you don't need the panhard. Panhards are used only in 3 link suspensions because you'll have two bars going from the axle to the frame and the 3rd link will be the panhard. I could be wrong, I haven't done a ton of research on linked suspensions.

The links are not triangulated so they cant control the lateral movement of the axle, that what the panhard bar is for. . Its like the front of a Jeep Xj, tj, etc..

Edit: I got a little more. The reason they are not triangulated, is because the gas tank is in the way.

Look under FOGs rear end (haha) next time you see him, it will make sense why the pan hard must be there to stop the lateral movement.
